- Boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl mix applesauce, brown sugar
melted butter and cinnamon
- Put potatoes in 9X13 buttered casserole dish
- Mash potatoes and sprinkle with salt
- Put applesauce over potatoes
- Combine cinnamon, sugar and nuts. Sprinkle over applesauce.
- Dot with butter
- Bake at 375 for 45 minutes
If desired sprinkle with pecans before serving. serve with a slotted spoon
