benedictine sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8-oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup green onions, minced
  • 1 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. dill, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 loaves sliced white bread

Directions:

  1. Make sandwich spread:

    Stir together first 7 ingredients to create Benedictine spread.

  2. Add spread to bread:

    Spread mixture on 24 slices of white bread, and top with remaining bread slices to create sandwiches.

  3. Trim edges, and cut into triangles:

    Trim away sandwich crusts, and cut each sandwich into 4 triangles with a serrated knife to create tea sandwiches.
