Caprese Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

    Burger Toppings

    • buns
    • pesto sauce
    • fresh mozzarella cheese slices
    • tomato slices (thick cut)
    • balsamic glaze

Directions:

  1. combine all ingredients for the burger patty.
  2. cover and let sit in refrigerator for 20 minutes
  3. preheat oven to 425
  4. shape into 6 patties
  5. cook for
  6. spread pesto on bun
  7. top patty with mozzarella and tomato slice
  8. drizzle with balsamic glaze
