Kielbasa and Fried Cabbage
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 packages of kielbasa
- 4 cups of rough cut cabbage
- 10 strips of chopped bacon
- 1 red onion
- Salt / Pepper
- Butter
Directions:
- Fry bacon in large skillet
- While bacon is cooking, slice kielbasa into 1/4" pieces and rough chop onion
- Drain the skillet but leave a 1/4" layer of bacon fat in the bottom of the skillet
- Add kielbasa and onions to skillet, fry until onions are translucent and kielbasa is browned on the edges
- While kielbasa and onions are cooking, rough cut cabbage
- When kielbasa and onions are done remove from pan and add 1 tbsp of butter to deglaze pan
- Add cabbage, salt, and pepper and fry on medium high heat until cabbage is tender
- Once cabbage is cooked add bacon, kielbasa, and onions back to pan and cook for another 1-2 minutes
- Turn off heat and let sit for 10 minutes
- Serve and enjoy
