Ingredients:

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1/2 lb italian sausage
  • 1 pk pepperoni - chopped
  • 1/2 c onion - chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can tomatoes diced
  • 1 can tomato sauce + 1 filled w/ water
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg - beaten
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 2 pkgs mozerella - sliced
  • 1 pkg parmesan
  • 12 lasagna noodles - oven ready

Directions:

  • Brown meats with onion, garlic, sage and oregano. add all tomatoes products and water
  • Let simmer 30 minutes
  • Combine ricotta, egg, parmesan (reserve some for top) and basil
  • Put 1/2 c of sauce in bottom of 10x13 casserole dish
  • Layer lasagna, 1/2 ricotta cheese mixture, mozerella slices and 1/3 of the sauce. repeat layers
  • Final layer is lasagna, remaining sauce mozerella and parmesan
  • Bake covered in 350 oven for 30 minutes. remove cover and cook additional 10 minutes. let stand 10 minutes
