peach cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 2 large peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/2 C sugar, divided
  • 1/2 C butter melted
  • 1 C flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • dash of nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 3/4 C milk

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine peaches and 3/4 C sugar; set aside.
  2. Pour butter into an 8" square baking pan.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg or cinnamon, and remaining sugar. Stir in milk just to combine.
  4. Pour over butter. Top with peaches.
  5. Bake 375 for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
