slow cooker teriyaki chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 t minced ginger
  • 2 T honey
  • 2 T coconut sugar
  • 1/3 C soy sauce
  • 2 t sesame oil
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1 T sesame seeds
  • 3 green onions, chopped

To serve:

  • 3 C cooked brown rice
  • 6 C broccoli, cooked

Directions:

  1. Place chicken in crockpot.
  2. Whisk together garlic, ginger, honey, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and vinegar. Pour over chicken.
  3. Cook in crockpot on high for 3-4 hours, low 6-7 hours.
  4. Remove chicken from crockpot.
  5. Shredd chicken with forks.
  6. Pour sauce into sauce pan, cook over medium-high heat.
  7. Combine cornstarch and water. Pour into sauce. Bring to boil. Cook until thickened. Put chicken in sauce.
  8. Serve with rice and broccoli.
