slow cooker teriyaki chicken
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 t minced ginger
- 2 T honey
- 2 T coconut sugar
- 1/3 C soy sauce
- 2 t sesame oil
- 2 T apple cider vinegar
- 2 T cornstarch
- 1/4 C water
- 1 T sesame seeds
- 3 green onions, chopped
To serve:
- 3 C cooked brown rice
- 6 C broccoli, cooked
Directions:
- Place chicken in crockpot.
- Whisk together garlic, ginger, honey, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and vinegar. Pour over chicken.
- Cook in crockpot on high for 3-4 hours, low 6-7 hours.
- Remove chicken from crockpot.
- Shredd chicken with forks.
- Pour sauce into sauce pan, cook over medium-high heat.
- Combine cornstarch and water. Pour into sauce. Bring to boil. Cook until thickened. Put chicken in sauce.
- Serve with rice and broccoli.
