Warm Winter Fruit Compote with Cinnamon Yogurt - Homemade Method

Ingredients:

Toppings:

  • 1/4 C roasted walnuts

    Cinnamon yogurt

  • 1 C Greek yogurt

  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 2 T honey

    compote:

  • 1 pear - peeled, cored, diced

  • 1 apple - peeled, cored and diced
  • 1/2 C dried cranberries
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 clove

    blueberry lemon compte

  • 1/2 C blueberries

  • 1 T water
  • 1/2 T honey
  • 1/4 lemon, juiced and zested

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine pear, apple, cranberries, lemon juice and zest.
  2. Stir in honey and clove; let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes until the fuits are soft and the flavors meld together.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Combine yogurt with cinnamon and honey.
  5. To serve, spoon compote over yogurt,top with walnuts and enjoy.
